Maggie Hughey AbuHaidar
BIOGRAPHY:
After law school, Maggie completed back-to-back judicial clerkships before joining the United States Attorney’s Office. As a Civil AUSA, she handled a myriad of civil defense cases, including immigration appeals. Maggie is now General Counsel for OK3 AIR, an FBO based in Heber City which she co-owns with her husband, and Of Counsel with Hoggan Lee Hutchinson in Park City.
Over the years, Maggie watched friends and family, including her father-in-law, struggle to make their way through the United States’ complex immigration system. Shocked at the increasingly inhumane treatment of immigrants, she began taking on affirmative asylum cases as a volunteer attorney in 2021. In 2023, she proudly co-founded WIP with John, Laura, and Karin.
Maggie primarily handles asylum and Special Immigrant Juvenile cases.
In her spare time, you can find Maggie skiing, hiking, and exploring Southern Utah with her family, supporting local arts organizations, or drinking wine with her friends.
Education: B.A., Dartmouth College; J.D. and M.A., Duke University.
Bar Admissions: Utah, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
